Configure results sharing

Let locations see how they stack up against their peers.

Before you begin

Want your locations to see how they compare? Results sharing lets Location users benchmark their scores against peers collecting data on the same Block. Stores, branches, offices -- everyone gets context without exposing each site's exact numbers.

How It Works

The setting lives on each Block within a Stream. Turn it on, and every Location assigned to that Stream sees a comparison score alongside its own results on the Dashboard.

You control two things:

  1. Scope -- which Locations are included in the comparison group.
  2. Average only -- whether to show individual Location scores or just the combined average (Smiley and NPS Blocks only).

Results sharing is available on three Block types:

Block typeScope options"Only share combined average" toggle
SmileyNone, Locations in the same folder, All LocationsYes
NPSNone, Locations in the same folder, All LocationsYes
Multiple ChoiceNone, Locations in the same folder, All LocationsNo

Available in Survey Streams, ExpressPod Streams, and Mix Streams -- any type that contains question Blocks. Not available in Public Review Streams.

Configure Results Sharing on a Block

  1. Open your Stream and navigate to the Block you want to configure (Smiley, NPS, or Multiple Choice).
  2. Scroll down to the Results sharing section beneath the block's other settings.
  3. From the Share results between dropdown, choose one of:
  4. If you selected a Smiley or NPS Block, an additional toggle appears: Only share combined average and not individual results. Turn this on to let Locations see the group average without revealing each peer's individual score.
  5. Save the Stream.

What Location Users See

When a user views the Dashboard filtered to a single Location, the charts show a comparison line with the peer group's score. The label tells you whether the group is the parent folder (for "Locations in the same folder") or the full Stream (for "All Locations").

Filter by specific Touchpoints instead of by Location? The comparison data disappears. It only shows when viewing a single Location's results without touchpoint filters.

Good to Know

If a Location is the only one in its folder, the comparison just reflects its own data. Switch to "All Locations" if most of your folders contain a single site.

Smiley and NPS Blocks produce a single numeric score that can be averaged. Multiple Choice Blocks share the full answer distribution -- there's no single average to isolate, so the toggle doesn't apply.

No. The comparison data only appears when viewing a specific Location on the Dashboard. The Overview and Details pages already aggregate across the selected scope -- results sharing doesn't touch them.

Yes. The setting is per-Block. You could share Smiley results across all Locations while keeping NPS results private, or the other way around.

Warning:

Heads up -- this exposes comparative performance data. Make sure your organization is comfortable with sites seeing how they rank. Use "Only share combined average" on Smiley and NPS Blocks to share the benchmark without revealing individual scores.
