Change ExpressPod Buttons

Switch between smiley and multiple-choice layouts in minutes

The ExpressPod has a removable button panel. You can swap it from a smiley-button layout to a multiple-choice layout (or vice versa) without replacing the entire device.

Warning:

This procedure exposes the internal circuitry. Avoid static discharge -- do not touch the circuit boards.

How to Swap the Button Panel (EP-02)

  1. Remove the question panel from the front.
  2. Separate the ExpressPod from its stand.
  3. Turn the unit upside down.
  4. Remove the two Phillips screws on the bottom cover.
  5. Push the four plastic tabs inward to release the button panel.
  6. Lift out the old panel and place the new one -- make sure the tabs click back into place.
  7. Replace the screws.
  8. Reattach the stand and question panel.
