Change ExpressPod Batteries
Swap out dead batteries and get back online fast
The ExpressPod runs on three D-cell (LR20) alkaline batteries. When power runs low, it is time to swap them out.
What You Need
- A small Phillips screwdriver or hex key.
- 3 new D-cell (LR20) alkaline batteries -- Duracell Industrial recommended.
Warning:
This procedure exposes the internal circuitry. Avoid static discharge -- do not touch the circuit boards.
How to Replace the Batteries (EP-02)
- Turn the power switch to Off.
- Remove the question panel from the front.
- Separate the ExpressPod from its stand.
- Turn the unit upside down.
- Unscrew the two Phillips (or hex) screws on the battery cover.
- Slide out the battery holder.
- Replace the three batteries -- the negative end (flat) goes toward the spring.
- Slide the battery holder back in and screw the cover closed.
- Reattach the stand and question panel.
- Turn the power switch to On.
