Set up an ExpressPod
Get your smiley-button device live and collecting feedback in minutes.
- You need admin access to do this. About roles
- Organize Your Locations must be set up first.
- Assemble Your ExpressPod must be set up first.
An ExpressPod is a battery-powered feedback button with five smiley faces. To start collecting responses, register it as an On-site Touchpoint inside a Location, then assign an ExpressPod Stream to it.
Test it right away. Press each button after registration and check your dashboard — confirming connectivity now saves you a trip back later.
Add an ExpressPod
Head to Admin > Touchpoints in the sidebar. Open your Location for editing and go to Step 2 — Touchpoints. In the On-site Touchpoints table, click Add touchpoint.
- Subscription ID — Paste the ID provided by your Ombea account manager.
- Touchpoint Name — Give it a descriptive name (e.g. "Entrance" or "Checkout").
- Click Add.
Nothing is saved until you click Save on the Location wizard.
What's Next
Your ExpressPod is registered. Now create an ExpressPod Stream to start collecting feedback — see Set Up an ExpressPod Survey.
Good to Know
You do not choose the device type yourself. The system reads the Subscription ID and determines the type automatically.
Click the delete icon on the touchpoint row. A confirmation dialog warns that all associated results will be removed. The deletion stays local until you save the Location wizard.
