Compare Results Over Time
Spot trends, track progress, and see what's changing.
Numbers in isolation don't tell you much. A score of 4.2 means nothing until you know it was 3.8 last month. Comparing over time turns data into direction.
Make it a weekly habit. Set a recurring reminder to check your trends every Monday. Consistent review is what turns data into direction.
Change the Time Period
At the top of the dashboard, use the date picker to select your range. You can choose preset periods (last 7 days, last month, last quarter) or set a custom range.
Compare on a Chart Card
Open the Compare tab on any Smiley or Multiple Choice chart card. Pick how to group the data — over time, between touchpoints, or by hour and day — and the card redraws to show the breakdown.
Use this to answer questions like:
- Did our score improve after the training?
- How does this quarter compare to the same quarter last year?
- Is the weekend dip getting better or worse?
Read the Trend Line
The trend chart on the Overview card shows your score over time. Look for:
- Steady climb — something is working. Keep doing it.
- Sudden drop — something changed. Investigate the date it happened.
- Flat line — no movement. Your actions aren't reaching the customer yet, or you haven't made any.
Filter for Context
Combine time comparison with filters to drill down. Compare "this month vs. last month" at a specific location, or for a specific question. The more specific you get, the more actionable the insight.
